史无前例的强大病毒席卷整个国家。一起疑点重重的事故导致的后果是，在现场的所有人都在经历过2天的潜伏期后死亡，死亡率高达100%！为了应对这谜团重重的病毒，成立了“特殊传染病防治小组”来寻找解决之道，且调查其背后的真相。小组的成员李明贤（严基俊饰）在调查的过程中，愈发觉得这起病毒事件远没有想象的那么简单。而这时他们又发现，当时在现场的还有名幸存者，为了防治更多的人被感染，明贤一直在追踪这名幸存者金仁哲（金显佑饰）。于是一场猫鼠游戏开始展开，而明贤也在追踪的过程中，疑似感染上了病毒。面对越来越恶劣的大环境，最终的真相究竟如何……
